Mission Partnership Experience
Guatemala & El Salvador Ministry seeks to share the love and message of Jesus Christ with the people of Central America while creating opportunities for mission groups to explore and experience the challenges and rewards of mission work. Groups of all ages come to serve through such activities as Working at Lavosi School for the Deaf, medical clinics, construction projects,feeding the poor and other ministries.
Life-changing week-long and weekend trips are available throughout the year. These trips are ideal for church groups that want to learn more about missions and what God is doing throughout the world.
What We Provide
Taking a team of people into another culture to minister is not an easy task. Providing logistical support for your team adds to the complexity of the task. Guatemala Missions is ready to handle many of the logistical issues that you have to deal with. Our year-round presence in the community allows us to coordinate with the local church and the local government. Our staff is ready to serve as missionary guides and translators.
Guatemala Missions Ministries will provide:
• Training materials for your group
• Ministry site setup and pre-planning
• Translators
• Housing with a local Guatemalan family
• Authentic Guatemalan meals
• Experience
We encourage our students to immerse themselves in Guatemalan life by staying with a Guatemalan host family. Our families are all located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the school. Staying with a Guatemalan family will give you the chance to learn firsthand about Guatemalan culture and to practice your Spanish. Our families provide a private room, three meals a day for all six days (excluding Sunday)and an enjoyable, interesting experience. They can accommodate vegetarians, vegans and students with food allergies.
